Happy Summer! Memorial Day weekend typically signals the start of the summer season. That means long days at the lake, CWS tailgating, golf weekends, pool time, and gathering around the grill. For me, there is a key element to all of those activities. A great summer beer. Beer that has a summer feel. Something a tad more light. A hint of something citrus. Low ABV. Most importantly, balanced flavor that won’t overwhelm the foods you pair them with. I have my favorites. but every year I seem to stumble upon a few new ones that I like to share. I do my beer shopping at Hy-Vee. It is hands down, the best craft beer selection around. If there is something you’ve been hunting for, ask them at Hy-Vee and they will even try and order it for you. So here we go. I think you’ll enjoy any of these this summer.
