The Los Angeles Dodgers moved within one win of the World Series title with a 4-2 win against the NY Yankees in Game 3 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium on Monday. No team in MLB history has ever overcome an 0-3 World Series deficit.
Dodgers’ ace Walker Buehler pitched five shutout innings, allowing just two hits and issuing five strikeouts; while first baseman Freddie Freeman homered in his fifth consecutive World Series game to give the Dodgers an early lead.
The Yankees will host the Dodgers in a must-win Game 4 on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. Game 5, if necessary, will be Wednesday in New York.
